Studio
We have a deep passion for rubber and latex. We have work with those materials on a professional level for many years now. Since December 1, 2008, we started to channel our experiences into the label Rub Addiction. Rub Addiction is an extravagant and unique label with high professional standards. We design and tailor our products in the new heart of the German capital Berlin. Our studio is located between the Alexanderplatz and the Hackesche Höfe in Berlin-Mitte. This is where we design and tailor latex fashion beyond the common cliché. Our products certainly dwell from rather hidden fantasies, but shall not only be captured in those. We explore and revive new areas.

Sven Appelt is a young designer and an autodidact. He intents to create extraordinary fashion in small-batch series. In addition he customizes unique pieces on demand. The key material of his collections is latex.
The designs draw from artistic as well as playful ideas and visions. The garments are always extravagant and fancy, with significant impulses from haute couture and fetish fashion. Expressive shapes and silhouettes, archaic, sometimes lovely playful or even very materialistic with object-focused items are characteristic elements of the Rub Addiction style. Aesthetics and top-quality manufacturing are essential criteria for the Rub Addiction garments. Latex designs are a way of self-expression. Sven Appelt puts his personal imprint on every single piece of the collection, turning it into an artistic design.
We of course also offer our services for design concepts and manufacturing to theater, film and TV productions.
